American Geophysical Union offers an exciting publication entitled International Journal of Geomagnetism and Aeronomy (IJGA). IJGA provides a window on research in Russia as well as work done elsewhere in the fields of geomagnetism, terrestrial magnetism, aeronomy, solar and heliospheric physics, solar-terrestrial relationships, and solar variability and activity. For more detail see Editorial paper.

The editor-in-chief of IJGA is Oleg Raspopov, of IZMIRAN in St. Petersburg, Russia, who also is the editor of the Russian journal Geomagnetism and Aeronomy. To support the international character of the journal, Dr. Raspopov is inviting experts in the field from within Russia and from other locales to serve on the Editorial Board of IJGA.

The U.S. Editorial Advisor for IJGA is Professor Roger W. Smith, from the Geophysical Institute, University of Alaska, where he is a member of the Space Physics Group.

International Journal of Geomagnetism and Aeronomy is available in both electronic (online) and print formats and some supplementary material may be available only in electronic format. Electronic versions of papers become available online immediately after review and typesetting procedures. Printed compilations of articles published online will be sent to subscribers on a quarterly basis. Abstracts can be accessed separately in HTML format as well as part of the article's full text which will be in HTML, Postscript, and/or PDF formats. Electronic version of IJGA as well as camera-ready copy of the journal are produced by the Geophysical Center of Russian Academy of Sciences under a Grant Agreement with the American Geophysical Union.

Peer-review process. IJGA includes only those articles which AGU deems will be of interest to the international scientific community. All articles published are reviewed according to the rigorous standards applied to international journals. The journal contains both articles that have been submitted solely to IJGA for publication as well as selected articles previously published in Russian language journals. Translated articles will undergo a second editorial review process to help make them more useful to the worldwide scientific community. Authors may be asked to revise the English version of their articles to add new material or to clarify points that would not be clear to those unfamiliar with Russian scientific literature. Although the journal will emphasize research performed in Russia and Eastern Europe, submissions will be solicited from around the world.

IJGA: ISSN 1524-4423.
